Klimt 1918 "Undressed Momento"

::: Review taken from Ars Metallia, France :::
Style: Atmospheric Metal

For whom still doubted, the Italian scene is unsuspectedly rich, faraway from being limited to Lacuna Coil or clones of Rhapsody: Klimt 1918 are the proof of this, proposing a very convincing and pretty original cocktail in the atmospheric metal sphere. Imagine that Anathema and Katatonia have composed some songs together with some 80's guiding bands as The Cure, U2, The Police... and you'll get this brilliant "Undressed Momento"! The outstanding pitch of the vocalist is the cherry on the pie, full of shades, and his timbre reminds of... Sting! This doesn't sound very metal, doesn't it? Yes and no, as for the rest there are some very metal elements, as the drums and some very distorted guitars, so that we could almost talk about emo-metal, considered the intimist, touching and varied temper of this record. By the way, some of best songs are "We don't need no music", "Undressed Momento"... Even the production is remarkable and signed by THE Italian producer Giuseppe Orlando (drummer of Novembre, Outer Sound Studios in Rome). An excellent surprise!!!
