Surprise of April 2005 :::

It's not easy to categorize them and if I did, it would be
unfair to the band. That is because the group is influenced by many bands
and different musical styles and some bands that came to my mind listening
to this album were: Beatles, The Cure, Entwine, Tears For Fears, U2, The
Police, Katatonia, Anathema, Green Carnation and Porcupine Tree. Again it
is very difficult for me to give the musical stigma of the band and you
will understand what I'm talking about once you listen to the album.
Sensitivity, melody, melancholy, loneliness and hope are all that they
offer with this album and they will surely set you free in the end! As
soon as a song ends I do not know what's coming next and that thing gives
a great variety to the album. All the songs are excellent and I will not
refer to some of them because every song here offers a different
atmosphere although
"Dopoguerra" is a concept album about the poor people
living in Italy in 1945, having survived the war and now being confronted
by the future. Listen to
"They
were
wed
by
the
sea",
"Snow
of
'85",
"Rachel",
"Nightdriver",
"Because
of
you, tonight",
"Dopoguerra",
"La Tregua",
"Lomo" and
"Sleepwalk
in Rome" and try to
get that sweet melancholic feeling of those atmospheric tunes. It's still hard for me to express my feelings after having listened to this album and each time I listen to it, it offers me always something new. I do not know if I managed to describe good enough the music of Klimt 1918 but I can see that a new 'star' is rising! If the sweet Muses be fair to them, then they will become a really popular band in the future because they truly deserve it!! |
