::: Klimt 1918 - Live @ Irish & Music Pub, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, 25/10/2008 :::I've been waiting to see Klimt live for about 2 years now. A friend of mine introduced me to their music about 3 years ago. I instantly fell in love with the band after listening to ''Dopoguerra''. I had major obsessions from that cd. Slowly, they became one of my favourite bands. It was impossible for me to attend their first Romanian gig (last summer, at the seaside), so when one of my best friend told me he was gonna bring them to play here in Cluj, I was so happy.
As the day was coming closer, I got more and more excited. I had the opportunity to meet with the band the previous night and chat a little. They are nice chatty guys - loved that about them.
On Saturday I woke up thinking 'This is finally happening'. I reached the location at 18:30 – and the opening acts started to play at 19:00. It all went sharp. At 19:00 Alternativ Quartet began playing.
I'd already seen all the opening acts performing live before, and I can really say they did their parts really good. Alternativ Quartet is a young band who's quickly gaining fans and popularity; Twisted Cables are one of the few Romanian bands who play lounge/chill out, and do it really well, I must add; and then, Luna Amara is one of the best Romanian bands for some years by now:  they are excellent live performers and this Saturday just confirmed their status once again.
When Klimt1918 made their entrance on the stage I was literally
trembling all over. I was really curious about what they were gonna play, how it all would've been. I had friends who saw them at the Stufstock Fest. (16/08/2007) who weren't impressed at all  – apparentlyDavide, Marco & Francesco, Klimt1918 they didn't sound very good; I found out later that they really had sound issues, but nothing depending on the band – so the curiosity was even bigger. I didn't want to be disappointed by one of my favourite bands. That could've had a huge impact on me.
All my fears went away after the first song. Then I realized I had nothing to be afraid of and that was going to be a great show. Paolo, Klimt1918And it was, from the very beginning to the end. The guys seemed to love the crowd. They also stated they were pretty impressed by how many people knew their lyrics and told us about their heavy metal background. Marco was pretty chatty between one song and another and the guitarist Francesco was very bouncing and energetic during the whole show. I felt it was too short but, you know, I would have liked 'em to play all night long. Or at least even ''Disco Awayness'' and ''We don't need no music''. After the concert, the guys were very opened to the audienceé they chatted, signed posters and took pictures. After all, it was a great concert. Of course I'm highly subjective as I love the band, but I had friends in the audience who weren't so familiar with Klimt1918's music and backed me up on that one. Set-list was the following: I
ntro, ''The breathtaking days (Via Lactea)'', ''Skygazer'', ''Snow of '85'', ''The Graduate'', ''Rachel'', ''Ghost of a tape listener', ''Because of you, tonight'', ''They were wed by the sea'', ''Nightdriver'', ''True love is the oldest fear'', ''Parade of adolescence''.
Thank you Flowing Mist for this awesome concert.

So, all of you who love their music, try to see them live
: you won't be disappointed.
