Klimt 1918 "Undressed Momento"

The first thing that came to mind upon hearing this Italian band, formed in 1999 from the ashes of Progressive Death Metal band Another Day, is that they could very well be the male counterpart to the Alternative Rock band The Cranberries (who happen to be one of my favourite non Metal bands incidentally). Although, unlike The Cranberries who are a straight mixture of Alternative and Rock these guys have more of a Gothic, New Wave and Avantgarde mixture going on with tons of melancholie and melodies throughout. "Undressed Momento" is a nice and soothing album although I would not call it anything really groundbreaking as I've heard this sound many times before from present day Paradise Lost, Katatonia or Anathema and the like. Add in some Cure or last few albums of Depeche Mode and you get the idea of how Klimt 1918 sound. Need I really comment further?
