Klimt 1918 "Undressed Momento"

::: Review taken from Metal Judgement, California - U.S.A., 09/07/2004 :::

In recent years, more and more metalheads are falling in love with the more melodic stylings of softer acts. Bands like Katatonia and Opeth have changed the scene forever and it will never be the same, opening up new possibilities and showing the world that while we all love our extreme metal, sometimes the heaviest thing you can do is be soft. Klimt 1918 is a band that has walked through the now open doors, and has given the world an album that is very powerful and moving. This is what happens when kids who grow up on The Cure and Depeche Mode, get into Death and Black Metal in later years, but keep all those influences to create something beautiful but disturbing.
For the musicians, this will please every desire. The progressive elements make for an overall very interesting listen, and one that is not easily forgotten. The vocals are all clear and very well sung, melding well with great riffs and some of the best melodies ever created. When you have had a long tough day, and feel like nothing can go right in the world, come home, crack open a cold one, and get lost within Klimt 1918. When you come back, something inside you will be changed forever.
