Klimt 1918 "Undressed Momento"

::: Review taken from Metal Vox, Brazil :::

"
Undressed Momento" is the first official release by these four Italian guys. After a rather weird introduction, they show 8 tracks of their melancholic sound, typical of the Gothic Rock/Pop from the eighties, reminding you of acts such as The Cure, Depeche Mode and The Smiths. The group keeps itself loyal to the proposal from the beginning to the end, bringing very depressive compositions, with slow and heavy atmosphere, led by the sad voice and interpretations of Marco Soellner, but they fail to show more variety among the tracks. Sometimes it's even hard to notice one song is over and we're already in the next one! The music itself is close to those played in gothic houses and, as much as they are perfect in these places, it's not something Metal fans are used to enjoy at home, being thus limited to some tastes and minds. For those who understand the proposal, it ends up being a pretty interesting experience. But the only track to really stand out from the others and call your attention highly is exactly the last one, "Stalingrad Theme", which uses lots of melody and tempo variations, reaching a Gothic Metal heaviness in several moments, something that can't be seen in the rest of the album, and showing what the band is able to do when they dare. Try it if you are a fan of the bands mentioned above.
