---oooOooo---

The new Cd "Dopoguerra" from the Italian act Klimt 1918 starts with a radio sample which seems to have its origin in the time after the second world war. That is because the lyrics deal with Italy after that war; the people and their fear concerning the future. The name of the band is taken from the artist Gustav Klimt and his dying year. About the music, I can say that it is no Metal at all. Ok, there are deep distorted guitars, but only in the background. Klimt 1918 plays kind of soft rock, with many clean guitars, an interesting voice and some sounds that I am not able to define. Only sometimes the metal elements shine through. The cd is not interesting at all to me. The songs sound to similar, the structures are to simple, the arrangements too. The only thing I like are the vocal lines. But I must say that I am not often listening to music like that. This music could be played on MTV and stuff because it fits to the masses. I donīt want to say with this that the music is bad, but it does not fit to me. If one likes slow and soft music he should listen to this cd, but if you want Metal, should look for something else.
