... ::: Live dates! ::: ...

::: 26/12/2003 ::: Some t-shirts (size XL - price of Eur 10.=) of the gig that Klimt 1918 held in Rome on 30/05/2001 together with Novembre and VII Arcano are still available, but the number is strictly limited. Find more info on the official website of Novembre, at the section 'Merchandise'. Meanwhile, even the gig of the 09/01/2004 together with Edenshade has skipped, what a pity...

::: 23/12/2003 ::: A lot of other reviews from the web: Ad Arma!, Froster, Hevihovi, Live 4 Metal, Metal Gospel (they linked me too :D), Metal Invader, Metalius, Shock! Rock Magazin, Strefa Klimatyczna, Tartarean Desire, Transit Mag., Vampire Magazine, Worlock and Zene Magazin.

::: 10/12/2003 :::  "Undressed Momento" has been voted as 'Album of the month' on the pages of the last issue of the German magazine Orkus! Have a look at the review (in German...), as well as to the various ratings that even the other writers from the mag. itself have given to the debut album.

::: 08/12/2003 ::: The day after! This time I spent in Rome one whole day and also had to chance to visit several places (thanx Linda!). It was very very cold, but the waiting for the gig made me hot, he, he, he...  Thanx Gabry, Andrea & Luana for the travel together - hopefully next time we go to Rome, the weather will be better and will hang around some more. And, especially, thanx to all the guys from the band for the free entrance, the nice pins, and all the rest. Here are my impressions: enjoy!

::: 03/12/2003 ::: The song "Parade of Adolescence" has been included on "Rebirth", the compilation out on the official website of  Hate TV and you can dowload it for free. Meanwhile, when I had already lost all the hopes of coming back to Rome for the gig of Klimt 1918 in company of My Sixth Shadow (and also Child on Rope), I've found some guys with whom going there! Unfortunately none of them will come with me at the show, as they have other programs for the night and don't neither know the band, but I'm sooo excited and can't wait to hear them alive once more! I'm coming back...

::: 23/11/2003 :::  I've just known that of the 3 gigs scheduled in company of Edenshade, only one will be held, that at Transilvania in Civitanove Marche, on 09/01/2004. Kreis in Montesilvano/Pescara, where ours should've played yesterday night, closed up, while I don't know the reasons why of the cancellation of the other gig at Bruch in Porto D'Ascoli. What a pity...
I've found many others review of "Undressed Momento" online meanwhile, taken from Directory of Dirge, Duas de peso, Inferno Magazine, Lords of Metal, Lunar Hypnosis, Metal-only, Pull the chain, Spot, The Metal Inferno and an interview from Hate TV.

::: 16/11/2003 ::: A couple of new reviews taken from Musikansich and Obskure, as well as a couple of interviews taken from Eutk and The Dark Side. Among other things, in the interview taken from Eutk, Marco appeals to whom was eventually interested in releasing again the outstanding Promo 2000 of Klimt 1918 "Secession Makes Post-Modern Music", maybe differently printed and with the addition of some unpublished songs. I hope very much that someone agrees to his request, because  the material contained in the promo above-mentioned sounds still topical today and sometimes I prefer it to that from the debut album!

::: 09/11/2003 ::: Further reviews, both from Italy and abroad (Bright-eyes, Concrete Web, Hate TV, Kinetic, Metal Inside, Metal Mayhem, Metal-realm, and Teenage Angst) plus interview on  Versacrum.

::: 29/10/2003 ::: The official website of the band has been finally completed and I really like the final result! Now almost the links work and there are some beautiful pictures that I've promptly saved for myself, he, he!!! Besides, I had the confirmation of what previously said about the lil' tour with EdensHade, nevertheless about another date in Rome together with My Sixth Shadow. Dates of the mini-tour are the following:

22/11/2003 -   Kreis, Montesilvano (Pescara)  +  Edenshade
07/12/2003 -   Coetus Pub, Roma  +  My Sixth Shadow
20/12/2003 -   Brunch, Porto D'Ascoli (Ascoli Piceno)  +  Edenshade
09/01/2004 -   Transilvania, Civitanova Marche (Macerata)  +  Edenshade

Furthermore, thanks a lot Alessandro for having me mentioned some new reviews taken from Centra Webzine, Décibels, Gothic-online/Hertze Attacke, Les Acteurs de L'Ombre, Past and Present, Rock Total and The Legacy.

::: 26/10/2003 ::: More reviews from abroad, one in English from a Greek webzine, Tombstone, and a couple in German from Adnoctum e Jester's News. Meanwhile it's rumoured about a certain "POST-MODERN TOUR FOR A FAINT  HEART" that Klimt 1918 are planning together with our very valid Edenshade; even if I don't know yet so much for sure, dates should be the following: the 22th of November at Kreis, in Pescara, the 6th or the 20th of December at Brunch, in Porto D'Ascoli and the 20th of January 2004 at Transilvania, in Civitanova Marche. It's all on Saturday night, but I hope the same they'll be able to also plan some other date round here, as well as somewhere else here in Italy.

::: 19/10/2003 :::
Here you are some reviews mainly taken from foreign webzines that I've found online during this last week: Amboss, Ars Metallia, FishCom Collective (they linked me too :D), Heavy Metal Mania, Italian Metal, Metal Glory, Metal Observer, Metal Open Mind, Metal Works, Power Metal and Terrorverlag. There is only one in Italian; most of them are written in German and must still be translated, but luckily there is also something already in English... a lil' bit of work less for the undersigned, he, he, he!

::: 11/10/2003 :::
Interview to Klimt 1918 on Babylon Magazine.

::: 05/10/2003 ::: Lately I've been very busy with the corrections of some stuff for the website, and even with some live gigs outside Florence, but yesterday night I found some other new reviews taken from Metal Millennium, Nero Opaco and Resurrecturis, as well as some interviews taken from Gryphonmetal, Nero Opaco and Shapeless.

::: 12/09/2003 ::: Thanks to the Forum of Kronic I found a very interesting interview to Marco on the pages of  Music-Impact and also the review of "Undressed Momento", published about one month before.

::: 08/09/2003 :::
I found a short comment about "Undressed Momento" on the website of a French Radio Show dedicated to Metal (www.metalchoc.chez.tiscali.fr), since it was one of the fave records of the two girls who runs it (I think that the Top 20 is referred to the month of July): "Fans de Katatonia et de Anathema, cet album est pour vous. Très bon album de gothique mélodique", and namely that is a very good album of melodic-goth, that the lovers of Katatonia and Anathema will surely appreciate. Just by curiosity however, the other 19 bands present were:

- MALMONDE  "Malmonde"
- MARYLIN MANSON  "The Golden Agen of Grotesque"
- MATRIX RELOADED  "The Album"
- MUTIILATION  "Majestas Leprosus"
- NEHËMAH  "Shadows From The Past"
- STAIND  "14 Shades Of Grey"
- THE CUBE  "Stand Up Direction Body"
- TYPE O NEGATIVE  "Life Is Killing Me"
- YOUR SHAPELESS BEAUTY  "My Swan song"
- AS I LAY DYING  "Frail worlds collapse"
- CHIMAIRA  "The Impossibility Of Reason"
- CORE  "Away"
- DAGOBA  "Dagoba"
- DEFTONES  "Deftones"
- DEIN SCHATTEN  "Das Ewige Eis"
- EVANESCENCE "Fallen"
- AKIN  "Forecast"
- GREED  "One Of Seven"
- H.I.M.  "Love Metal"

::: 05/09/2003 ::: Some other reviews from Dheadbangers (interview too!), Highwire Daze & Decibels Storm (album of the week). More reviews from abroad are coming and responses seem more than good; cool.

::: 01/09/2003 ::: Interview on Grind Zone and Kronic.

::: 26/08/2003 ::: Again some other reviews, perhaps already on line since weeks, but that the undersigned has only found once came back from summer holidays, from Babylon Magazine (even two!) and My Beloved Darkness, this last one, alas!, in Spanish! And to whom should I ask now to have a translation?!?

::: 05/08/2003 :::
Incredible but true! Although I'm spending my summer holidays in a secluded spot of the seaside (I'm overdoing it...), I've been able to find the new issue of Psycho!. Well, after all it's neither 'secluded' so much, but here at the seaside it's always hard finding some magz of extreme music! Anyway, noticing on the cover the wording 'WIN!!! 5 CDS OF KLIMT 1918', I deduced that on the same issue the debut album had also been reviewed and in fact, but not only! The issue even included a short interview and the track "That Girl" included on the Cd-Compilation enclosed to the mag. itself (just like in 2001, when "Schmerzwerk 1976" from the Promo-Cd "Secession makes post-modern music" was included on the Cd-Compilation no. 21 enclosed to the issue # 45 of Psycho!, further being voted as 'Demo of the Month'!). You can find the short lines which accompany the track aforesaid, written by Fuzz Fuzz, right here:

Another band we've seen growing up, since the day they won a place among these pages as Psychodemo of the Month. That of Klimt is a journey which has began from the heart of metal, but that will lead 'em who knows where, on the long wave of a morbid inspiration, which draws at the best (really) of the dark-wave, as well as of Anathema and Paragon of Beauty. Very autumnal, rainy, almost 'British' in the mood, intellectual in their songs. For those who love fraie and restless vibes.

And then there is an answer to the interview which I've particularly liked and which I'd like to quote even here; Marco must conclude, suggesting to the readers/listeners an ideal trip by car listening to Klimt 1918 in the background and he replies as follows:

Coming home after having passed the night dancing.
Ears buzz, fresh air smells of smoke and distant fires, silence impends.
The riverside of Tevere finally empty, the dark river and the vestiges of Rome as great ghosts lit up of green and yellow.

I have imagined to see my Florence by night instead....

::: 22/07/2003 ::: Yesterday nite I received some other reviews which escaped my attention (thanks Alessandro!), taken from the following webzines: Benzoworld, Chaindlk and Let the warden.

::: 20/07/2003 :::
Yesterday I spent a pleasant night in Arceto, at the Bishop's Castle, where have played Spiritual Front, band in which, as you'll remember, also plays Alessandro, guitarist from Klimt 1918. Alessandro said that "Undressed Momento" has also been reviewed on the italian magazine Rock Hard and that the song "Parade of Adolescence" has been included on the cd-compilation enclosed to the mag. itself, that should be called "Loud Sounds" (indicated with the wrong title "Paradise of Adolescence" by mistake, he, he, he... of course, it's a divine band!); furthermore, on the same issue, there is also an interview to Marco.
Alessandro then said that the album has also been reviewed on a webzine, Metalhel, which has palmed them off a terrible rating of 0 points out of 5! I didn't understand if it's another Finnish webzine or from which other country, and hence I'll have to get more information. However our Alessandro didn't realise the reasons why for a rating like that... made such faces, he, he, he!!!

::: 16/07/2003 ::: Another couple of excellent reviews from the web taken from Metallo Italiano (there's also the interview!) and from Eutk.

::: 10/07/2003 ::: ... hem! I've just found a second review on a Finnish web-zine (Let's Make Some Noise) and this time, from the rating, it doesn't seem to be particularly positive. On the other hand, everyone has its likings... Let's wait for a friend of mine to also translate this one (... maybe)!

::: 09/07/2003 :::
Further reviews from Alternatizine, Crash magazine (top album), Haternal, Metal Maniacs, Versacrum... aaahhh, I'm goin' crazy!!! And even on Grind Zone no. 4, the first on the 'paper', so to say. However all the splendid words spent so far about the music of Klimt 1918 fill me with joy...

::: 06/07/2003 ::: Other reviews more than positive of  "Undressed Momento" taken from Stillborn, HM Portal, Gryphonmetal, Tragenda (top album) and even one from a finnish webzine - in Suomi! - that I hope will be translated soon in both Italian and English... perkeeele!

::: 29/06/2003 ::: The day after! He, he, he ... My brief  trip to Rome for the gig of Klimt 1918 was great, both from the musical point of view (the performance, although short and certainly not perfect in my opinion, has really been very exciting!) and personally, since it gave the chance not only to know the rest of the band, but even to meet again some old acquaintance of mine (Francesco & Alessandro from Room with a View) and knowing new people (Hail Dario! - Hail Davide!). I also took some pix; it was just a pity that in my camera there was the wrong film and that they didn't come out properly well (don't you ever use your head, girrrl?). Hopefully next time it'll go better. By the way, you can find my impressions about the hot summer day spent in Rome right here... enjoy!

::: 26/06/2003 :::
Here is the first interview done to Marco from Klimt 1918 which I've found online on Metalitalia  (a huge thanks to 'Spectral_Sorrow' for the tip-off, he, he!). I'm gonna read it as well!

::: 07/06/2003 ::: Hurrah (so to say...)! I sold the ticket! Rome... Klimt 1918... Mery on arrival 666!!! The earth already quakes, ha, ha, ha! Meanwhile, the first reviews of "Undressed Momento" are coming (all from webzines: Disintegration, Heavy-metal.it, Kronic, Metal hearts, Metalitalia (top album), Metallized, Metal will never die (top album), Music Boom, Sensorium, Shapeless and Silent Scream); check the 'Memoirs' section to read what also the others think about this record. It really seems that debut album is receiving very favourable judgements so far. And that's cool.

::: 29/05/2003 ::: Correction: Klimt 1918 will play on Saturday, the 28th of June 2003, not the 21st... gulp! And thinking that for the same day I've already bought since time the ticket for another gig, 'A Summer Day in Hell' (featuring Opeth, Type O Negative, Lacuna Coil, Extrema and more...)... Yes, but who cares, I've already seen Opeth on tour once this year, I prefer going to Rome and listening Klimt 1918 playing live, who knows when it'll happen again, on Saturday moreover (while I'm writing these words anyway, I'm suffering inside that you've no idea... I won't catch Opeth live at kind of an open air festival for the first time in my country: endless pain!!!). Meanwhile, I must be able to 'palm off' (it's hard to say this!) this ticket I've in hand to someone else! But, I say, they couldn't play one week before as initially advised or one week after, so that I would've attended Opeth live once again? Sigh, sob, regret, pain forever! I already hear friends' infamies saying 'how I wished you were also there!' or 'what you've missed!'... Don't make neither think about that! Such words will ring in my ears for all eternity...

::: 26/05/2003 :::
Spleeendiiid news! The guitarist Alessandro told me that Klimt 1918, as mentioned few days before, will play on 21/06/2003 at Jungle's in Rome! This is cool! And it's even Saturday night! I won't truly miss such a gig!!!

::: 14/05/2003 :::
On the Guestbook of Novembre I found a message about the release of "Undressed Momento" (left by such a Kessler 1918... presume someone from Klimt 1918) and I've immediately thought to quote it even here, because I think that it fully 'shots' the lyrical and musical contents of the debut album. Just read what follows....

Mascara dreams, voices in the amniotic hour, sleepless dawns,
coffee, lothes lying everywhere, wet eyes, red lips, shattered skin,
smell of cigarette, reiterated hope, whispered dreams, four walls,
a wide bed and fellow sheets,  light filters, blue shutters,
erotic retaliations of unsatisfaction, crimson joy,  windows that enframe, under the town, the golden river, lacrimae rerum,
the wood of streets, the treacherous neons, the rain,
the stone empire, the vestiges, the wet ground,
the totalitarian spring, April that runs away,
August of tears from the sky, emaciated legs, crossed,
wrapped hands, motionless grace, adolescence, secession, taboo...

Undressed moments for who rests on the alert.....

Pure, uncomfortable rock music.

::: 12/05/2003 :::
Today I received my orginal copy of "Undressed Momento", almost at the same time of the official release date of 08/05/2003. It seems that the undersigned, together with Francesco Palumbo of My Kingdom Music, has been the first person to receive the so long waited cd! He, he, he, I got it even first than Klimt 1918 themselves! I've got the powers...
The digipack is undoubtedly beautiful, even if personally I don't particularly like the photos used both for the digipack cover itself and those for the cover of the booklet, least of all the lay-out. On the contrary, I especially liked the insertion of handwritten lyrics especially, with that effect kind of 'strained' ink (though some verses aren't easily readable and this makes me angry!), and also the photos inside the booklet itself by Marco (among the various pictures, there's also the vynil of "Left Hand Path" by EntombeD!!!).
As regards the final vocal part of "Naif Watercolour", without doubts I still prefer the 'original' version of the song, perhaps because I'm simply used to it (after more than 5 months of continuous listening!) or maybe because I haven't accustomed yet to the new solution, with that effected voice in style Eiffel 65 (!!!) but, anyway  it results successful the same.
I keep on listenening to "Undressed Momento", waiting to see how the crpwd and the critics in general will take it and, above all, I hope that Klimt 1918 will be able to soon play somewhere (it's rumoured about a gig at Jungle in Rome around the middle of June... let's hope for the best!).

::: April 2003 ::: On occasion of the gig held at Siddharta, Prato, on 05/04/2003, during the which have played Ain Soph and Spiritual Front, I had the chance to meet Alessandro again, guitarist of Klimt 1918, as well as guitarist of Spiritual Front themselves. The deadline for "Undressed Momento" by now is getting always nearer (and the conclusion of this site or what it's supposed to be instead, I think it's always farther, if I don't stop going to all these concerts which I'm attending lately!!!), even if it seems that it's been postponed to 08/05/2003. Copies of the album are still being printed at present, and furthermore the final vocal lines of the song "Naif Watercolour" have been changed and re-recorded (it seems with an astonishing solution and I have no doubt about this, considered Marco's talent!), because of some little problems with the SIAE rights, as the track resumed some verses of the song "While my guitar gently weeps" of The Beatles ('I look at you all/see the love there that's sleeping/while my guitar gently weeps/I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping/still my guitar gently weeps'). I'm very curios as to this, since I consider this song as one of the best and most intense episodes of the record and I'm looking forward for hearing the new version. By the way, it seems that promotional copies will however contain the 'banished' version of the song. At least I can say to already possess a sort of discographic rarity, he, he, he!
Waiting for Francesco from My Kingdom Music to let me know when I'll be able to order my original copy of  "Undressed Momento", I hope that our can organize a gig of Klimt 1918 in Rome for the middle/end May 2003 as he mentioned me, maybe in company of their label-mates Room with a View and Novembre too (that would be a true dream of live rendezvous!!!).

::: February 2003 ::: "Undressed Momento" will be officially out on 30/04/2003, in version Digipack Deluxe Cd, with an illustrated booklet and the artwork edited by Francesca Di Leandro, already known for the official web-site of  Novembre (www.nocturna.net).

::: January 2003 ::: After I met the new guitarist of the band, Alessandro, during the 'Sweden-Assault' held in Prato at the beginning of the month (featuring Impious/Satariel/NecrophobiC: fuck yeah... Hell was unleashed that night!), I can tell you that the release date of "Undressed Momento" is fixed for the end of April 2003. The same evening, thanks to the very kind Alessandro, I've also succeeded in getting a tape with the recording of the long waited debut album and since it hadn't been enough coming back home after 03:00 of the morning, I've rightly done past 05:00 o'clock listening to this tape continuously, as I was longing to hear the new songs! Comparisons with Anathema mentioned in the introduction, both vocally and musically, for some aspects are still valid, but it's also kinda like here The Cure met certain melodies of the old U2  and even something of The Cranberries whom, in their turn, meet Novembre ("Wish I could dream it again.../Dreams D'Azur" & "Arte Novecento" period), as well as Danish Point-of-View Secondhand that, I don't know how many of you out there will remember (a band that combined alternative sonorities à la Pearl Jam to those more melodic dark of The Cure; really cool... where are they now?!?). Marco's sensational voice, as I could've already ascertained a couple of years and half ago after the listening of their debut promo-cd "Secession makes post-modern music" is the most beautiful one I've ever heard in the last years, fragile at times, always very sweet, but at the same time even heavier and more decided than in the past... at times exquisitely pop!

Titles of the songs featured in "Undressed Momento", with some short (so to say...) comments of mine, are the following:

I. Intro
A nice theme kind of a childish tongue-twister introduces the album. Initially I thought that Alessandro had left me the wrong tape and I was almost going to chase him on the highway! Then it almost suddenly breaks off and in the background we can hear some steps and someone who lights up a cigarette. Frankly weird as intro... how did this idea come into their heads?!?

II. Pale Song
It's just a matter of a few moments still and the dances finally begin and I have to admit that it's really been love at first listening! The record couldn't start but magnificently: the recording is absolutely extraordinary, guitars parts of this song have a definitely catchy and memorable melody since the beginning, both airy and gloomy at the same time, thing that in my opinion will find again in all the rest of the album, and Marco's voice, very inspired and dreamy more than in the past, reminds me sooo much of Morrissey! A very plain song but terribly involving with snazzy drums rhythmes! An excellent start for real.

III. Parade of Adolescence
The following song is sooo beautiful and elegant to literally ravish the heart, with vague recalls to The Cure and Point-of-view Secondhand, intriguing and charming vocals solutions, bass lines and drums parts definitely rock-oriented and, just like for the previous song, extremely involving. And then some guitars parts after the first chorus, even remind some things of the old U2! It truly seems like listening to their typical riffing of end 80's/early 90's that made them great. I found that it's a very divine song.

IV. We don't need no music
Undoubtedly the song which immediately hit me more than all the others at the very first listening and that I was looking forward to listen to twice. Definitely one of the most successful and original episodes of the whole record, brilliant for real. Introduced by a French voice somewhat decided and almost arrogant, on a musical basis made of bass lines and an absolutely memorable drumming which will keep such for the whole lenght of the track, to which are then added some of the most melodic and dreamy guitars ever. The French voice returns some instants after, more resentful and harsh this time, for then giving room to the voice of Marco, who introduces himself by surprise with some verses sang in Italian and a snazzy pitch (which in English sound more or less like this: 'I see you, rising unprecise, clear in face, tears still hurt you, on the face March, inconclusive end...'), a real well done solution so that I would haven't really minded at all hearing again our Marco at work with his mother tongue even in other moments of this record! Verses then go ahead in Ennglish as before, but once again Marco's voice is something of unique and of a beauty out of this world, so frail and touching, truly splendid, not to talk about the exquisitely pop refrain. Rhythmics however turn out little bit more compact afterwards, with double-bass drums parts absolutely sensational (Paolo, the drummer, is a real prodigy! The way he plays drums makes me die!), and the guitars melodies are so involving and memorable than ever. An extremely exciting song in all its simplicity which I've immediately elected authentic manifesto of the whole album.

I think that these first three tracks are definitely the most catchy songs from "Undressed Momento".

V. Undressed Momento
The title-track remembered me some passages of the Promo-2000, maybe because I find that is one of the most melancholy songs of the whole debut album. Initially I thought it was a lil' bit too soft than the rest of the tracks, but it became soon one of the fave songs of mine instead! Guitars melodies are very liquid, especially in the beginning, and terribly gloomy for all the rest of the song. Vocals by Marco are really touching and very inspired as usual. Splendid and perfectly distinguishable are the bass lines, thanks to the great recording. Monumental the final part, with its guitars parts more dark-rocking than ever, the decadent and sad orchestrations and the unfailing killer double-bass drums, but of a matchless precision.

VI. That Girl
The superb and first-rate drumming and liquid guitars parts, acoustic and then distorted which introduce this new song, once again made me think about certain solutions in style Point-of-View Secondhand, but even about Klimt 1918 themselves from the Promo-2000. Bass lines are always pretty dark-oriented and the vocals of  Marco are so beautiful to take your breath away. Then the song becomes more dark sounding and melodic, till when it wonderfully twists itself some moments after, so that it almost seems to hear a new song, both musically and lyrically, with a sensational conclusive part. Just another divine song.

VII. Naif Watercolour
Anther highlight of this record, terribly sweet and involving since the first bars, of a catching beauty and definitely one of my absolute fave tracks along with "We don't need no music". This song varies a lot, with some fabulous inserts of synths and liquid guitars, which then becomes lightly 'heavier' and electric, with the usual very precise drumming ever and an outstanding tipically dark-rock central moment. It seems once more that for certain aspects begins a new song, but however not less exciting than in the beginning indeed! Vocals by Marco are wrapping and more intense than ever. In the final part it varies again, probably the best moment of the entire song (unfortunately the final version of the song I'm writing about, hasn't been included on the official debut album afterwards), with an extraordinary drumming, some bass lines which take your breath away, an astonishing voice, some gentle orchestrations in the background which touch your heart, with the most memorable guitars melodies of the record. A splendid crescendo that, together with the previous song 'That Girl', guess it represents the most varied excerpt of the whole album.

VIII. If only you could see me now
In this song guitars sound very dark and gloomy and it remembers a bit the title-track. Vocals are of an incomparable charm, almost desperate at moments (especially in the chorus, that is absolute despair), but never rough. The orchestrations in the background are gloomy, the bass lines are grand, the drumming is spectacular as usual, particularly in the final part, really cool.

IX. Stalingrad Theme
The record closes in a masterly manner with the song which I consider to be the most extreme among all those proposed so far. Introduced again by a French dialogue, it unexpectedly strikes up in the heaviest and extreme possible way, with a double-bass drums and guitars tipically black metal sounding, reminding me of some old stuff of Novembre, for then becoming briefly more death-oriented, vaguely in style Opeth, and in the end again airy and slightly softer, with synths parts and lovelyl vocals. The riffing is memorable as usual, and the drumming is absolutely explosive, especially in the conclusive part, and namely very fast as in the opening.

Definitely one of the more valid and brilliant debut records that I've ever listened to in these last years and that undoubtedly posseses all the necessary requisites to leave deep signes in those who will have a chance to hear it (hopefully many!).

::: 27/12/2002 ::: Klimt 1918 are going to release their full-lenght debut album "Undressed Momento" for the Italian label My Kingdom Music, recorded at the Outer Sound Studios, under the watchful eyes of Giuseppe Orlando, drummer of Novembre. According to vocalist/guitarist Marco, 'The recording is pretty crystalline and guitars have a grand sound. Stylistically there are some news. The songs sound even more old-fashioned and wave oriented. Imagine The Smiths, Duran Duran, U2 and especially The Cure deranged by distorted guitars and double-bass-drums. Everything flavoured by vocals harmonizations à la Beatles... A real sinergy of melody and power!!!'... aaarrgh! I can't truly wait any longer!
