Hell-o-sorry for I haven't been
'round here so much in the last couple of months to update the site, but
between travelling for several gigs and my work (so stressful!) -
without considering that I'm continuing not to regularly receive anymore
news about the release of the third record from Marco & Paolo Soellner - I
couldn't
really
do more. Therefore, just think about the fit of depression that seized
me for some months, as concerns going ahead or less with this project of
the fansite... Well, let's think about something else now and enjoy
these few days of holidays before newly starting 2008 at full rhythms.
And among other things, I haven't neither deigned myself to add a page
dedicated to the debut album of
The
Foreshadowing, though I've been playin' "Days of nothing" for almost
one year by now, but I hope it will arrive sooner or later...
Here is a review of the first album "Undressed Momento" taken from the
Italian webmag RockLine, a
record that continues to touch listeners hearts, although released almost
5 years ago, awaiting that they'll also review soon the following
"Dopoguerra" and, why not, even the brilliant promo "Secession makes
post-modern music", still topical in my opinion.
And
since we're at the end of the year, I just wanted to mention my absolute
fave record of this 2007, and namely "IIIII" by Finnish
Magenta Skycode,
warmly recommended to all those who didn't know this act yet or that
however appreciate our Klimt 1918.

To conclude, don't you think it would be
about time to refresh this fansite? Actually I've been thinking about
for years, but due to work's
engagements and a series of other circumstances (neverthless my well
known laziness :P) have always postponed the matter of
improvements. Now I'm discussing with a fan from Romania about the new
graphic arts, layout and everything else and I really hope that with his
help we will be able to come out with something truly valid and
interesting. Season's Greetings!!!

An (Italian) interview done with
Marco of Klimt 1918, actually not so recent, but among the latest ones
recently read for sure, taken from
Onda Rock, while the band has
completed the recordings of the new album (which will be presumably
released early next year, unless they're not gonna make us a nice Xmas
present, who knows...), and is gonna mix the material at the celebrated
Fascination Street Studios
in Orebro, Sweden (where even mixed their fellow-citizens
Room with a View
of "Collecting shells at lighthouse
hill",
Daylight Dies,
Katatonia,
Opeth, and so forth). In
the end, awaiting that I also deign myself to upload a few lines written
about the debut album dei
The
Foreshadowing released early this week, but already in my hands
since end January 2007 and that's receiving very good consents almost
everywhere, I just wanted to tell you that it's born the official E-Team
of Klimt 1918 for some weeks, managed by bros Jan & David (the same ones
from the live report of the gig in
Belgrade, as supporting act for Katatonia), for all of you out there
myspace users.

Here finally is the confirmation
that at least a date in Romania has been performed: a
new live song taken from the fifth edition of
Stufstock
Festival 2007! In the
meanwhile however, all is still...
::: 09/09/2007 :::
Newly back to you on these pages after a
(never enough!) long hot summer.
Since I haven't been surfin' round here
for over one month, and considering that I haven't neither heard anyone
yet from Klimt 1918 in the meantime, I just limit myself to esclusively
write down what read on
myspace,
and namely that after the 20th of August the recording sessions of the
instrumental parts which are gonna compose the fatidical third album,
were almost over, if not for touching up something here and there and
that it was about time to record the
vocals which, guess should be over as
well by now. I was only wondering if they had played any live dates in
Romania, as mentioned a couple of months ago by themselves.
Therefore, awaiting the band to tell us something more (it's no use
saying that my e-mail messages and sms still lie unanswered, thing
that really makes me sad :/), here you are a couple of nice pictures.
Here I am together with Alessandro,
ex-guitarist of the band, met in Castelvolturno, Naples, during the
second day of the S-Hammer Fest.
(actually I've been meeting & hearing more him in the last 4 or 5 months
than the guys from Klimt 1918!). Among other things, I just want to
remind you the release of the debut album of his
The
Foreshadowing,
"Days of nothing", for Candlelight
Records, scheduled for the next month, in which also plays
Davide, bass-player of Klimt 1918.
... but the best picture is the one
that Paolo put on his profile on
myspace
(I can't access to such material, since I'm not a member of myspace,
but I've got my good informers :P), while he's ridin' the bike (seems
like he's got also his hair cut or am I wrong?!?) or better, the most
funny thing is the comment left by Simone Salvatori (you're the best!) from
Spiritual Front,
that is written in 'pure Roman style' and if only you from abroad could
read it as me, would find it something memorable! By the way, it can be
simply translated into English as follows: 'But don't you feel like
jumpin' out of the overpass?', that obviously written in Roman
sounds all in a different way, ah, ah, ah!!!

::: 25/07/2007 :::
I would've liked so much greeting
you, wishing everybody to spend a memorable summer with some more news about
Klimt 1918, but from the last sms exchange with Paolo, it seems that the
guys never received my latest e-mail or perhaps they received
it as 'spam' messages, that's rather unbelievable. By the way, now that
I've sent again all my last messages, I hope that sooner or later they'll
tell me something about the recording sessions of the new album, so that
I can also tell you something when I'm back from holidays early September.
And yeah, don't forget the live dates they're gonna play next month in
Romania: as usual, if there was anyone who could attend such gigs, I'm
always here awaiting your comments.
Wish everyone out there to spend great summer holidays!!!
::: 08/07/2007 :::
Here are some summer live dates that Klimt 1918
will perform during the next month of August somewhere in Romania (maybe
the fans from Romania can gimme more info; by the way, thanx Angelo for
informing me, 'coz I seldom visit their space):

Then yesterday I met Alessandro, former
guitarist from Klimt 1918, at the Evolution
Festival here in Florence and I just wanted to remind you that is
possible listening to another sample ("Eschaton") taken from the debut cd
"Days of nothing" of
The
Foreshadowing in which, further to Alessandro, you also find Davide
from Klimt
1918 themselves.

I recognize I haven't been 'round here so
much lately, but I have to keep my word before spreading
some news regarding Klimt 1918, till I won't get their 'give way' to do
it, hoping they'll
let me hear something from them soon, since after the Easter gig I haven't
heard 'em anymore... And luckily I didn't arrange anything for the gig in
L'Aquila of some weeks after, otherwise I would've known only the night
before that the live date had been cancelled instead. So, anything new
for the time being, if not that the recordings of the new album will
start during July.
And since I'm here, considered that Klimt 1918 are makin' us suffering
for the long wait dividing us from the new songs, I take advantage to tell you about a
particular French ensemble,
Alcest
(thanx Fede!), who have recently signed with the current same label of
Klimt 1918,
Prophecy Productions, for the release of their new album
"Souvenirs d'un autre
monde", which will be out at the beginning of August, nevertheless to tell you about another very interesting
Italian reality,
Oblivio
from Rome (thanx Dario for the surprise song
... but don't
forget that I'm still waitin' for the pictures of the live gig in Rome!!!),
whose debut album "Dreams
are distant memories" will be released in September for the old label of Klimt 1918, and
namely My
Kingdom Music.
Hoping I'll be able to tell you soon some news about Klimt 1918 and
forthcoming album, just let me go attending the cover band of Deep Purple: rock on guys \m/

A more detailed live report (in
Italian only) about the gig of Klimt 1918 (together with
Sleep of Thetis
and Altherea) of
the past month at
MotoRockAs in Mozzate, in occasion of the
IV Hardsounds Heavy Birthday,
taken from Metal Inside,
and the relative
live pictures.
Then, a thing which I had always said to myself to write down, one time
or another, but evidently somebody else (promptly) thought about that :)
: just recently I noticed that Klimt 1918 are even on
Wikipedia.

More live
pictures shot by Wildhoney during
the gig in Brescia.
The
next news isn't directly related to Klimt 1918, but mainly to a couple
of ex-members, since
The
Foreshadowing - gothic/doom metal combo hailing from Rome, in which you find the former guitarist Alessandro Pace
(founder of the band), the keyboards player Francesco Sosto (who played in some songs contained in "Dopoguerra") and even the current
bass player Davide Pesola, further to Andrea Chiodetti (guitarist of
Grimness and ex-Spiritual Front member), the drummer Jonah Padella (from
Grimness as well) and the vocalist Marco Benevento (even with
How
like a winter) - have just signed a deal with the English label
Candlelight Records! The debut album "Days of nothing", recorded in a couple of
studios of the capital and mixed at
The Outer
Sound Studios by Giuseppe Orlando from
Novembre during
2006, will be unleashed around the end of October 2007 for Candlelight
Records, who defines the band such as a mix of epic vibes and powerful
guitar riffs developping in the 10 excerpts which are gonna compose
their first chapter, reminding of bands like
My Dying Bride,
Katatonia and
Anathema. Visit
their page on
myspace or the label website to know something more, awaiting to
hear soon some of their tunes...
::: 24/04/2007 :::
Here (finally!) is the English
translation of my live report about
the gig of Klimt 1918 of the 7th of April, so that even you guys from
abroad can read something about their performance. Other live pictures
are comin' soon... Meanwhile, enjoy the reading.
Unfortunately, while I was uploading this latest News, I've just read
that the gig that
Klimt 1918 would've had to held in L'Aquila tomorrow, has been cancelled
:/
::: 14/04/2007 :::
Here is Wildhoney back to you after
a long and intense Easter week-end, after attending some memorable live
shows such as those by Spiritual Front or Kirlian Camera, but above all
by our beloved Klimt 1918! Here is my live
report about the gig at
La
Sfinge metal pub, near
Brescia (which I'm going to translate into English in the next few days,
don't worry!), as well as all the live pictures shot by
Fabio! Among other things, it's
just been published even a live report about both the gigs of the band,
and that you can find even in these pages, taken from
Kronic. So I hope to translate 'em
both soon and I just want to remind yo that the 25th of April,
right after two years from the release of "Dopoguerra", i Klimt 1918
will play in L'Aquila, in the square of the Cathedral and,
trust me, I'm dying to leave again for this gig, but I don't think I'll
be able to do it this time. And after all, I have really nothing to complain
about :)
::: 06/04/2007 :::
Who knows me well, also knows that I
don't particularly like MySpace, though I must admit it's a very good
way to promote bands almost everywhere, especially when it's created by
the bands themselves. But I just wanted to tell you about a space
dedicated to all the fans of Klimt 1918, at
http://www.myspace.com/klimt1918lovers, created by Federico, who has
also gently put a link to my fansite (thanx!).
So, I'm settin' out tomorrow for Brescia :) and I'm sooo excited, since
it's passed about one year and half from the last time I had the chance
to catch Klimt 1918 live, at M'Era Luna
2005. And if everything's turns right, on Sunday nite I'll also
attend the Dark
Celebration Fest. (with
Kirlian Camera,
Dope Stars Inc.
- in which currently plays Alessandro, former guitarist from Klimt 1918
- Spiritual
Front, Ensoph,
Syrian &
Technophobia)!
Have a good Easter!

Awaiting to get the live report from
Dario about the gig in Rome of the 22nd of March (hey, where have you
gone?), as well as some beautiful picture, I just wanted to remind you
that Klimt 1918 will play on Friday, the 6th of April at
Motorockas
in the province of Como, together with
Sleep of
Thetis and
Altherea
(and, so it seems, not with
Dakrua,
as previously announced), while on Saturday, the 7th, will be at
La
Sfinge, in the province
ofi Brescia, with already announcedi
Sovversivo
and even with
Shining Fear.
And if everything goes fine, I should attend exactly the date of the
next Saturday. Once again, as usual, if there is anyone of you out there
who's gonna see them on Friday, come on, don't be shy and drop me a few
lines about the gig and some pictures, same thing for Saturday night. I
hope Ancora una volta ne approfitto per invitare quelli che andranno a
sentirli nella serata di Venerdi, di inviarmi due righe sul concerto o
qualche foto, e lo stesso vale per la serata di Sabato. I just hope I
won't lose my way :)
::: 24/03/2007 :::
... have you seen the new
t-shirt of Klimt 1918 :) ? I'm
waiting for someone who tells me about the gig of Thursday night in Rome
or who can send me some beautiful live pictures. I've just read a few
comments here and there in the net about the new songs, which seem
people liked a lot and so I'm confidently awaiting, even because it's
been the first gig in the capital with the new guitarist Francesco...
::: 11/03/2007 :::
Some other beautiful live pictures
of Klimt 1918 by Judit Fold, during the Hungarian date of the middle of
December 2006 at this
link (and however I suggest you to also have a look at all her
various shots, not only those from the concerts!).
And here is even the playbill of the Roman date of Klimt 1918 at
Rashomon Club, on
Thursday, the 22nd of March 2007, together with Lento: as
usual, if there is any of you who'd like to write a few lines about this
gig, comments on the new songs or about the new guitarist and maybe even
some live pictures, feel free to contact me. Have a good time!

Finally some signs of life
from the band :) As you should've surely already read on the
official website
or somewhere 'round the net, Klimt 1918 have scheduled a few live dates
in our beautiful country for the next couple of months and namely:
... and if I'm not going to spend my
Easter holidays in Hellsinki, in occasion of the gig of
Amorphis, I'm
confident I'll attend the date of the 6th or the 7th of April and you?!? Who
knows, maybe they're gonna play one or two brand new songs (ahem,
actually I've just noticed that on the official website it's clearly
written that further to the songs taken from "Undressed Momento" &
"Dopoguerra", they'll also play a couple of new songs... wake up Wild :P
!).
::: 24/02/2007 :::
I've (finally) added the 3rd (!!!)
biography, and namely the one you can
already find both on the
official website
and the page on
myspace,
but I wanted to also translate into Italian and so here it is :) And I'm
doin' exactly the same even with the personal profiles of the band's
members...
::: 10/02/2007 :::
An old review of "Dopoguerra" taken
from the Italian web-mag Dagheisha, that I've read just
lately.
::: 03/02/2007 :::
... and here you are also some nice live
pictures of the gig in Belgrade;
thanks Jan & David for sending!

Some (short) live clips from the gig of Klimt 1918 in Budapest found on
YouTube (by
Csaba81), while
performing
"Snow of '85" (which is very rock'n'roll, with
Marco screaming 'C'mon, together' right before the chorus!),
"Rachel"
and
"Sleepwalk in Rome" (which unfortunately stops right
before the most beautiful part of the song, that's the final one with
Italian verses :/ ). Thanks a lot Nostalgia for telling me about these
clips!
::: 13/01/2007 :::
Here is also a
live report of the gig of Klimt 1918
in Belgrade! Thanx a lot to the bros Jan & David for dropping a few
lines, hoping to get even some beautiful live pictures!
P.S.: ... 'someone' told me that soon we
will be able to read a detailed report about this live experience in
Budapest & Belgrade so, just stay tuned for more news!
::: 03/01/2007 :::
Happy New Year everyone!!! Here you are
some beautiful live pictures by
Florin of the gig in Budapest; thanx a lot for sending! Actually I'd
have even some live clips of both Klimt 1918 & Katatonia shot during
the performance of some songs, but I don't think I'm gonna add them even
here on the fansite. Awaiting to get soon
even some live pictures from the gig in Belgrade (where the set-list was
the following: Intro (from "Dopoguerra"), They were wed by the sea,
Snow of '85, Rachel, Nightdriver, Because of you, tonight,
That girl, Parade of adolescence, Sleepwalk in Rome; thanx Jan!)...
